Support Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Support Engineer to manage and maintain Kyivstar's Big Data platform and data products, ensuring reliability and performance. You will be responsible for the full incident lifecycle - from the first alert and triage to root-cause analysis, permanent fix, and prevention - across our data pipelines, cloud, and on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

• Incident management
• Maintaining environments and applications (AWS, on-prem servers, K8s clusters, etc.)
• Supporting development and BA teams
• Configuring and maintaining monitoring systems
• Opportunity to grow as a DevOps engineer

Requirements

• 0.5+ years of experience as a Support Engineer
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Experience with git
• Experience with sh/bash
• Experience with diagnostic tools (curl, telnet, dig, etc.)
• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems like Prometheus, Grafana, or others

Nice to Have

• Experience using configuration management software (Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience working with scripting languages (Python preferred)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI or others
• Experience with ELK stack
• Understanding of Infrastructure as a code, GitOps principles
• Experience working with Cloud (AWS preferred)
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or others
