About the Position

System Design Engineer

Join DXC Luxoft as a System Design Engineer in Gothenburg, Sweden, and contribute to developing next-generation systems for the automotive industry.


Responsibilities

As a System Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing a system fulfilling the agreed cross-functional solution.
  • Breaking down functional requirements and applying them to the electrical and software architecture related to the car platform.
  • Distributing and defining requirements to systems/modules and components, the execution environments.
  • Ensuring functional and non-functional realization in our requirement management tool Carweaver.
  • Collaborating closely within the team developers and testers and with all relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Relevant background with a university degree in Electronics, Software, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SW development and system engineering.
  • Good team player, with the ability to work individually with your own responsibilities and professionalism.
  • Structured, organized, and reliable individual.
  • Motivation, creative mindset, and urge to develop future products.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum a B.Sc. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Major experience from SW embedded development, system design, and quality assurance of complex embedded systems.
  • Deep and good knowledge of Functional safety standard ISO26262 and its deliverables related to design, requirements, and hazard mitigation.
  • Good and solid Carweaver and Elektra work experience related to design and signaling.
  • Knowledge about automotive base technologies like UDS, diagnostics, and CAN, LIN, Ethernet signaling concepts.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Valid European driver's license B.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge about automotive exterior/interior systems.
  • SW development in C++ and Simulink/C.
  • Model-based design in Simulink.
  • Ability to review and analyze data logs to fault trace and compare with requirement-related signaling.
