System Director Anesthesia & Perioperative Services

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join Munson Healthcare as the System Director of Anesthesia & Perioperative Services in Traverse City, Michigan. This role involves directing anesthesia and perioperative services across all Munson Healthcare and contracted locations, ensuring high-quality, efficient care.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the budget, financial performance, and operations of Anesthesia Services.
• Ensures high-quality, safe, and compliant anesthesia care across the system.
• Leads and holds direct reports accountable for operational and performance goals.
• Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to support anesthesia services across procedural areas.
• Partners with the Anesthesia Medical Director to standardize and improve anesthesia care delivery.
• Develops recruitment, workforce, and staffing strategies to ensure efficient anesthesia coverage across the health system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred, with a concentration in Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Hospital Administration, or Nursing Administration.
• Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in anesthesia services, surgical services, or a closely related clinical environment.
• Proven ability to lead and manage change in a complex healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with organizational leaders, physicians, and clinical providers.
