About the Position
System Engineer - Narrow Pacific
Narrow Pacific, a venture-backed software company, is seeking a skilled System Engineer to join our team in 台北市, Taiwan. We are focused on the development of blockchain and related services. You’ll get to work in an environment that deeply values design and engineering, alongside a talented team with industry-proven open-source and design experience.
Responsibilities
- System Administration and Networking
- OS Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance (Ubuntu and FreeBSD)
- Cloud VM and Kubernetes services (DigitalOcean and AWS)
- Automated Deployment Tools (Ansible)
- Database Backup and Monitoring (PostgreSQL, LevelDB, Redis, etc.)
- Network Monitoring and Performance
- Security and Network Hardening
Requirements
- Strong English communication skills
- Strong system administration and networking skills
- Knowledge of OS installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Knowledge of cloud VM/Kubernetes service providers
- Knowledge of automated deployment tools
- Knowledge of database backup and monitoring
- Knowledge of network monitoring and performance
- Solid security and network hardening fundamentals
- Creative and analytical mindset
- Passion for contributing to open-source codebases
