About the Position
We are looking for an experienced and motivated System Engineer / System Designer to join our automotive engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming customer and product requirements into system solutions that support the development of next-generation vehicle functions and embedded software systems.
As a System Engineer, you will work closely with software developers, architects, test engineers, safety engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle, from concept definition to vehicle integration and validation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and refine stakeholder, customer, and product requirements.
- Develop and maintain system, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Break down high-level requirements into software, hardware, and interface specifications.
- Define and maintain system architecture and technical solutions.
- Support functional safety, cybersecurity, and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration.
- Drive requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support system verification and validation activities, including testing and fault analysis.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical investigations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, methodologies, and engineering practices.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in automotive system design, embedded software development, or related technical domains.
- Strong understanding of requirements engineering and system design methodologies.
- Experience working with complex embedded systems and distributed vehicle architectures.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, or diagnostics.
- Deep knowledge in one or more of the following areas: functional safety, cyber security, AUTOSAR, ADAS, Infortainment, Connectivity, Energy Management, Diagnostics, Vehicle Dynamics, etc.
- Familiarity with requirements management and system modeling tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AUTOSAR architectures.
- Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262.
- Experiences of performing HARA; FMEA, TARA analyses.
- Experiences of SystemWeaver/CarWeaver.
- Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity principles and standards.
- Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Understanding of systems engineering processes, ASPICE, and V-model development.
- Experience with integration, verification, and validation activities.
- Basic programming knowledge in C, C++, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with vehicle diagnostics and testing tools.
