Your new workday:

As a Tableau Architect (m/f/x), you are a key member of our interdisciplinary project team.

You advise clients, from startups to large corporations, on designing enterprise-wide analytics platforms. You create scalable data visualisation solutions, define best practices and empower teams across the organisation to make data-driven decisions. You work closely with data engineers, business analysts and stakeholders, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable Tableau environments, including server or cloud configuration, site structure, and project organization.
  • Define and enforce standards for dashboard design, data source management, naming conventions, and version control.
  • Design dashboards, visualizations, and calculations that meet business requirements, performance benchmarks, and row-level security requirements.
  • Optimize data models, extracts, and live connections for fast, reliable performance.
  • Design data pipelines, semantic layers and data sources that support analytics requirements.
  • Manage user access, permissions, licenses, and security governance in the Tableau environments.
  • Design Tableau development pipelines using the Tableau Command Line (tabcmd).
  • Collaborate with business units and translate requirements into effective data visualization strategies.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Tableau.
  • In-depth expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, Tableau Prep, and the Tableau Command Line (tabcmd).
  • Excellent SQL skills and experience with relational databases and data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, SQL Server).
  • Proven track record of designing enterprise-wide Tableau architectures, including governance and security models.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes and performance optimisation.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly in both English and German.
  • Certification as a Tableau Certified Architect or Tableau Certified Data Analyst is an asset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with scripting or automation (Python, REST API, Tableau Metadata API, or TabPy).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy) or data catalog tools.
  • Background in data governance, data quality, or master data management.

We Offer

  • Work in a dynamic, international team with flat hierarchies and an appreciative company culture.
  • 30 days of paid vacation and various support options for parents.
  • Opportunity to take a sabbatical or unpaid leave.
  • Hybrid work model with flexibility to choose between working from home or the office.
  • Comprehensive onboarding experience, Academy program, and personal buddy.
  • Diverse training and certification opportunities, including a personal development budget and 2.5 paid training days per year.
  • Memorable team events, such as summer events, Christmas parties, and Salesfive & Friends events.
  • Customizable individual benefit packages.
  • Exciting career perspectives in a permanent position.
  • Attractive compensation model, including a performance-based bonus.
