Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are expanding our team and looking for a Talent Development Specialist to join us in Yerevan, Armenia. In this role, you will design and run education-based recruitment programs that help young professionals grow into successful IT specialists. You will manage the full student journey - from external trainings through pre-production labs to production teams - while collaborating with universities, internal departments, and a local team of trainers and mentors.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage a multistep, education-based recruitment funnel: external trainings → pre-production → production pool
  • Adapt and implement EPAM's educational best practices in Armenia
  • Collaborate with EPAM Recruiting and Marketing teams to ensure a steady applicant flow
  • Lead and support the local team of administrators, trainers, and mentors, fostering its growth
  • Act as Unit Manager for students within internal education labs
  • Track students' progress and ensure their success throughout the program
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local universities and colleges to access talent and run joint programs

Requirements

  • English – B2 or higher
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and effectively support local leadership
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • University & Educational Partnerships – negotiating agreements, coordinating internships and entry-level programs
  • Effective Communication – confident interaction with students, interns, technical leaders, executives, and cross-country teams
  • Empathy & Leadership – ability to motivate, guide, and support young talent during their integration
  • Results Orientation – measuring training impact and internship effectiveness through clear KPIs (employability, retention, satisfaction, etc.)

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Russian
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Training & Development, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Experience leading educational programs for IT professionals
  • Established relationships with local IT education programs, universities, and colleges
  • Background in software development (Engineer/Manager)
  • IT education experience as a Trainer or HR/TA in an IT company
  • Readiness for hybrid working mode (a few office days per week in Yerevan)
