About the Position
Talent Sourcer
We are seeking an energetic and outgoing individual to join Maincode, an Australian-made AI stack company, as a Talent Sourcer. You will play a crucial role in finding the strongest engineers and researchers in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a genuine curiosity about what people build and the judgment to identify who is worth our time.
About Maincode
Maincode operates its own infrastructure in Australia, trains and maintains its own frontier models, and runs multiple surfaces on top of them, including chat, coding, and APIs. Everything we ship is built on capabilities we control ourselves. We are looking for someone who loves meeting people, enjoys real conversations, and can wear Maincode on their sleeve.
Responsibilities
- Source engineers and researchers from various platforms such as GitHub, papers, meetups, communities, and referrals.
- Reach out to potential candidates, start real conversations, and meet people in person where possible.
- Vet the candidates' work and background, and bring the ones worth talking to directly to our talent lead with a short, honest note on why.
Requirements
- Sourcing experience: Some experience sourcing or recruiting for technical roles is a plus.
- Outreach and presence: You are warm, enthusiastic, and extroverted. You are happy to put yourself out there, meet new people, and wear Maincode on your sleeve.
- Strong signal: You read people well. You pick up on what someone actually cares about, adjust how you talk to them, and communicate a direct, unvarnished read on the people you bring forward.
