About the Position
Tax Manager
We are seeking a Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance and strategy for our company.
Responsibilities
- Oversight: Provide expert oversight over tax areas such as VAT, excise taxes, direct taxes (e.g., CIT), and transfer pricing for specific regions or groups of countries.
- Planning and Organization: Plan and organize the work of the tax analysis team and team leaders, ensuring the accuracy of tax filings.
- Internal Advisory: Offer internal tax advisory services within the assigned tax group.
- Compliance: Collaborate with local tax authorities to ensure compliance.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure tax compliance and optimize tax payments.
- Regulatory Analysis: Analyze tax regulations, interpret court rulings, and implement them in specific cases within the company.
Requirements
- Tax Expertise: Expertise in the chosen tax area, with a strong understanding of current tax laws in the countries of responsibility.
- Tax Advisor Credentials: Tax advisor qualifications are highly desirable, though not always mandatory.
- Experience: Several years of experience in managing a tax team or in a tax advisory firm.
- Team Management: Experience in managing a team and client services.
- Legal Knowledge: Practical knowledge of tax laws.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English.
- Documentation: Experience in preparing tax opinions and documentation.
