About the Position
We are seeking a Tax Specialist to join our team in Paris, France. This role involves managing VAT compliance, customs reporting, and transfer pricing strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- VAT Compliance: Support VAT compliance in France and the numerous jurisdictions where we operate (EU and non-EU).
- Customs Reporting: Support the production of DEB (Intrastat arrivals/dispatches), DES (European Sales Listing for services), and Intrastat declarations.
- Complex Flows: Analyze goods and services flows to optimize invoicing schemes and mitigate customs risks.
- Transfer Pricing: Update and monitor the group’s transfer pricing policy (Master File / Local Files) and ensure the operational implementation of internal recharging agreements.
- Tax Credits: Good understanding of the Research Tax Credit (CIR) mechanism and its calculation methodology, and corporate income tax principles, including taxable income determination, tax returns, and deferred taxes.
- Tools: Participate in the automation of tax processes within the ERP and tax compliance tools; contribute to the implementation of electronic invoicing reforms.
- Excel: Build and maintain tax reporting files and reconciliation models (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Tax Law or Business School with a specialization in international taxation.
- Experience: Significant experience in Tax, ideally gained in a Tech/E-commerce environment, a law firm, or an audit firm.
- Technical Expertise: Good knowledge of VAT (French and international) and transfer pricing. Strong Excel skills are essential (pivot tables, formulas, data reconciliation). Experience with an ERP (NetSuite) is a plus.
- Languages: Fluent English is mandatory (daily interaction with foreign subsidiaries, agencies, and advisors).
- Soft Skills: Analytical rigor, agility in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to simplify complex topics for operational stakeholders.
