Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements
About the Position
We are looking for a Team Lead Android Developer with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose experience to lead our Android development team remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of user interfaces based on Jetpack Compose
- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient Kotlin code
- Working with Android SDK, ViewModel, LiveData, StateFlow
- Integration of REST API, network work through Retrofit, OkHttp
- Support of existing functionality, bug fixing, and optimization of applications
- Interaction with the team (designers, backend, QA)
- Learning and implementing modern Android technologies
Requirements
- Proficiency in Kotlin
- Knowledge of Jetpack Compose and understanding of declarative UI concepts
- Understanding of Android SDK and the lifecycle of components (Activity, Fragment, ViewModel)
- Experience with MVVM architecture or other patterns
- Ability to work with REST API (Retrofit, OkHttp)
- Knowledge of OOP basics
- Understanding of asynchronous programming (Coroutines, Flow)
- Skills in working with version control systems (Git)
- Willingness to learn quickly and openness to feedback
Nice to Have
- Experience with Room, Firebase
- Knowledge of other Jetpack components (Navigation, LiveData, ViewModel)
- Own pet projects or code examples on GitHub
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles
- English for reading technical documentation
