Team Lead Data Engineering (m/f/x)

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor our Data Engineering squad, fostering a dynamic, collaborative, and high-performance winning culture.
• Oversee the entire data supply chain, from design to operation of mission-critical data pipelines (batch and real-time).
• Ensure peak scalability, blazing performance, and strict adherence to SLAs.
• Act as the ultimate assurance gate, guaranteeing end-to-end data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical specifications and concrete delivery plans.
• Align all data engineering practices with group standards, driving security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Lead automation, optimization, and innovation within data processing to boost performance and maximize cost-efficiency.
• Contribute to the Data Department’s roadmap and objectives, providing leadership support for strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), or a closely related quantitative field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience managing and leading large-scale data projects and high-performing data engineering teams.
• Big Data Expertise: Proficiency with AWS Redshift, S3, EMR, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, Hudi, and designing scalable data models and pipelines.
• Engineering Excellence: Robust ETL/ELT engineering skills, experience with analytics/time-series technologies (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch), and strong coding abilities in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Modern Engineering Environment: Experience with Linux, containers, Kubernetes, and building cloud-first, production-ready data systems.
• Trusted Partner: Exceptional stakeholder management and strong negotiation skills. A confident decision-maker and rigorous problem-solver.
• Natural Leader: Ability to lead, coach, and mentor the Data Engineering squad, fostering a dynamic, collaborative, and high-performance winning culture.
