About the Position

Team Lead – Deal Desk & Contract Management (gn)

As a Team Lead – Deal Desk & Contract Management (gn) at Unite, you will build a brand-new function from the ground up. You will be the central point of contact for the commercial integrity of our deals, ensuring that deals are completed in a compliant, margin-conscious, and structured manner. You will analyze how deals flow through the sales organization today, identify gaps and risks in the existing process landscape, and design, document, and implement structures.

If you want to build something that truly matters and seek design freedom, responsibility, and impact, this role is perfect for you.

Are you ready to reinvent procurement? At Unite, we have been successfully working for over 25 years to make purchasing in companies and public organizations better – digitally, effectively, and sustainably, driven by technology with a purpose. Our procurement solution "made in Europe" creates transparency, fairness, and real data sovereignty. It is being developed by over 700 international employees who think boldly, live responsibility, and celebrate diversity. If you really want to make a difference, join us and shape the future of procurement with us.

Responsibilities

  • Process Evaluation, Design & Setup – Foundation Phase: You will create a structured analysis of the existing deal processes in the sales organization and identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies in the current state. Based on this, you will define the target process model and the required documentation, create a Deal Desk Playbook, and design and roll out the deal approval framework for non-standard deals.
  • Deal Desk Governance: You will ensure that deal policies are consistently applied and aligned with pricing and margin strategies, manage the approval framework for non-standard deals including discount approvals and special conditions, and build Deal Desk Playbooks, workflows, and escalation processes from scratch.
  • Commercial Contract Management: You will be responsible for the governance of commercial documents including template maintenance, clause review, and approval tracking, and evaluate and implement a suitable contract management tool in close coordination with Legal, Finance, and Accounting.
  • Pricing & Margin Discipline: You will advise on pricing structures, discount logic, and margin effects of individual deals, recognize deal patterns, and derive policy improvements from them.
  • Quote-to-Cash Enablement: You will support the coordination between Sales, Accounting, and Finance regarding offers, billing results, and revenue assurance, and review and approve commercial exceptions such as special prices, tiered commissions, and quantity discounts.
  • People Leadership & Process Improvement: You will lead and develop a team member, ensure consistent quality and turnaround times in all deal reviews, and optimize workflows through automation, standardized templates, and suitable tools.

Requirements

  • Experience & Expertise: You have 3–6 years of professional experience in the areas of Deal Desk, Contract Management, Pricing Governance, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Finance, and have a solid understanding of commercial sales processes.
  • Implementation Experience: You have demonstrably built new processes in a structured manner and know how to create something reliable from nothing.
  • Tools & Systems: You have experience in evaluating or implementing contract management or CPQ tools, which is a definite plus.
  • Stakeholder Management: You can lead cross-functional stakeholders and coordinate operational workflows between Sales, Legal, and Finance.
  • Leadership Ambitions: You have initial leadership experience or a clear willingness to develop a team.
  • Analytical & Big Picture: You work in detail while always maintaining a commercial overview. Experience in B2B marketplaces, platform businesses, or SaaS environments is advantageous.
  • Languages: You communicate fluently in English and German.

We Offer

  • The Office, a Place to Feel Good: Our office equipment is modern and ergonomic, the public transport connection is very good, and the canteen on-site provides you with freshly prepared food daily – including a subsidy from us. Hybrid working is possible.
  • We Think Long-Term: That's why you have a lot of room for maneuver and the opportunity to take advantage of the many offers of our Academy to further develop yourself.
  • Workation Opens Up New Opportunities: Work abroad for up to two months and extend your time away or your holidays with friends and family.
  • Thoughtfully Sustainable: We support you in terms of health and pension provision with comprehensive social benefits and a wide range of mobility offers, such as a job bike or job ticket for public transport.
  • Collaboration on Equal Terms: Benefit from a fair corporate culture, helpful colleagues, and experienced management.
  • Everything in Balance: Flexible working hours and 30+ days of vacation allow you to easily balance work and private life.
