Responsibilities
The Team Lead Design Operations is a dynamic force at the intersection of strategy, process/KPIs definitions, while collaborating and driving seamless alignment across stakeholders and departments. The Team Lead Design Operations uses deep expertise in design creation processes and communication across digital and print channels, ensuring consistency and quality in a complex, multi-channel landscape.
- Own the production management of several hundred digital and print assets per month.
- Lead and mentor a team of 7 designers and 7-8 external freelancers with a positive mindset and support them in managing backlogs effectively and ensure tasks are well prioritized, defined, and in line with our business goals.
- Foster a culture of ownership, outcomes, and continuous improvement by running post-mortems and implementing learnings.
- Establish a data-driven design mindset and help the team utilizing digital analytics tools, testing, and research.
- Develop hypotheses and testing planning for creative variations across paid social, display, CRM, onsite, and print.
- Work closely together with the conception and video team to align on narratives, messaging hierarchies, and guardrails and translate campaign ideas into channel-specific creative strategies, design roadmaps, and resource planning.
- Own and ensure brand and campaign consistency and high-quality output across all touchpoints and assets.
- Own and improve intake, briefing, scoping, and prioritization and implement a transparent service model for stakeholders.
- Maintain an asset library and guardrails hub, standardize modular, channel-adaptive templates, component libraries, and design systems to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Define and automate processes and workflows in project management- and ticket tools (Wrike/Jira) and establish RACI’s and QA loops with all relevant interfaces.
- Own the creative tech-stack and drive efficiency in asset creation and localization by leveraging AI, Figma, Miro, Adobe, etc.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–8+ years in design/creative roles, including 2–4 years leading a multi-channel design or creative ops team within e-commerce or a fast-paced digital environment.
- Skills:
- Experience with localization at scale and multi-market creative ops.
- Proven record of improving creative performance through systematic testing and iteration.
- Demonstrated process optimization and stakeholder management at scale.
- Expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, experience, and openness for AI solutions.
- Strong grasp of static formats and deep knowledge of best practice across channels.
- Proficient with project management tools (Wrike/Jira) and DAM workflows.
- Data-literate: comfortable with dashboards, testing frameworks, and interpreting experiment results.
- Systems thinker who loves building repeatable, scalable processes without stifling creativity.
- Excellent judgment on brand vs. performance trade-offs and when to push boundaries.
- Creative at heart, customer-focused with a bias for speed, clarity, and continuous improvement.
- Strong people leadership: hiring, coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Experience with localization at scale and multi-market creative ops.
