About the Role

DNV Aquaculture and Ocean Health AS is seeking a motivated Team lead for our laboratory in Trondheim, Norway. The section focuses on the identification of marine species and primarily provides services connected to environmental monitoring of aquaculture activities and marine emissions. The Team lead will be responsible for operations, finances, and personnel, managing a unit with 12 employees. The team is one of 7 teams in the section Biodiversity, which includes more than 90 experts. The section receives inquiries and samples from Norway and abroad, and project management will be an important part of the job.

Key tasks:

  • Strategic and operational responsibility for managing and further developing the team
  • Organize, lead, and motivate the employees
  • Coordinate with other departments and teams in DNV, especially the other environmental teams
  • Initiate and carry out projects and activities
  • Budget and performance responsibility

Requirements

  • Relevant leadership experience
  • Higher education, preferably within biology
  • Knowledge of the aquaculture industry and environmental surveys in the marine sector
  • Strategic competence and business mindset
  • Structured and good computer skills
  • Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
  • Ambition to further develop professionally and personally
