Team Lead SEO

About the Position

We're seeking a Team Lead SEO with extensive experience in iGaming SEO to manage large-scale projects and strategies in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Managing Project Results

• Oversee the development and implementation of SEO strategies for projects
• Identify and scale growth areas
• Monitor KPI achievement for all team SEO projects
• Regularly audit project status: positions, traffic, business metrics
• Detect declines in a timely manner and organize actions to eliminate them
• Forecast results and timely adjust strategies

Managing the Team

• Coordinate and monitor the work of SEO specialists to achieve project KPIs
• Assign projects to specialists considering their level, workload, and development areas
• Ensure quality control of specialists' work
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings
• Develop the professional competencies of the team
• Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees
• Conduct performance reviews: assess competencies and set goals

Managing Processes

• Implement and maintain best practices in team work
• Ensure that all SEO activities are carried out systematically and on time, leading to the achievement of set KPIs
• Standardize and control work documentation
• Increase team efficiency
• Identify bottlenecks in processes and initiate improvements

Managing Budget and Resources

• Control project expenses within the approved budget
• Evaluate the effectiveness of budget expenditures

Interdepartmental Cooperation

Coordinate cooperation with teams:

• Product team
• Development team
• Content team
• Linkbuilding team
• Marketing team
• Management

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a managerial position
• 3–5 years of commercial experience in the iGaming industry
• SEO Expertise:
  • In-depth understanding of search engine principles
  • Expert knowledge of ranking factors and Google algorithms, with the ability to adapt to updates
  • Experience in developing and implementing SEO strategies
  • Experience working in highly competitive niches
  • Experience managing large-scale projects
  • Ability to analyze traffic trends, identify causes of declines, and create traffic recovery plans
  • Experience in solving iGaming-specific SEO challenges: blocks, dropped domains, migrations, satellite pages, cloaking
  • Ability to conduct technical audits and effectively define tasks for development teams
  • Experience in conducting SEO hypothesis A/B testing: idea creation, execution, and evaluation of results
• Strategic Thinking:
  • Ability to build long-term SEO strategies
  • Understanding of the impact of SEO on business indicators
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities and implement them
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Very good understanding of business priorities
• Team and Project Management:
  • Experience managing an SEO team (or mentoring specialists)
  • Ability to develop and support team members
  • Experience in conducting periodic assessments (performance review) and setting development goals
  • Ability to recruit and evaluate candidates
  • Ability to assign projects considering team workload and competencies
  • Experience in overseeing multiple projects (focusing on management rather than direct task execution)
  • Ability to manage backlog: setting priorities, deadline control, and risk management
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks with quality control (without micromanagement)
