About the Position

Tech Lead - Équipe HOP (H/F) - CDI

About the Company

Selectra helps millions of individuals and businesses annually to compare, subscribe to, and manage their everyday contracts: energy, internet and mobile, insurance. Behind this service, internal platforms developed to equip our sales and quality teams in several countries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the roadmap and make decisions on what to do, simplify, and avoid, with business impact as the compass. Challenging the existing is part of the role.
  • Get hands-on with the code. This is a player-coach role, not a management position: you design, code, and deliver the most complex projects (migrations, integrations) - about two-thirds of your time in code, in production, with the same review standards as the rest of the team.
  • Manage three developers. 1:1 meetings, code reviews, skill development, prioritization - a small team by choice, equipped to have the impact of a large one.
  • Make AI a multiplier. The team uses Claude daily (code exploration, review, generation, edge case hunting). You embody and push this practice to multiply the team's productivity.
  • Work with the business. Turn incomplete requests into solid specifications: list edge cases, have the rules written and validated by those who own them, say no when necessary.
  • Maintain quality and reliability. Tests, static analysis, asynchronous robustness, living documentation - the standards exist, you make them live.

Requirements

  • Solid backend experience (PHP / Laravel ideally, or demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly), with complex systems in production.
  • Some experience in leading, managing, or mentoring developers - without giving up coding: you love to code and have no intention of stopping.
  • A real business sense: you know how to link a technical decision to its impact, and propose simpler when possible.
  • Real practice of AI tools for development, and the desire to make it a team lever, not a gadget.
  • Comfortable with both technical and non-technical interlocutors; fluent French and professional English.

We Offer

  • Permanent contract, salary between 60-75k€ depending on profile.
  • A key position with strong autonomy and direct link with the CTO.
  • An ambitious and documented roadmap, not an inheritance to decipher.
  • 2 days of remote work per week, office in Lyon.
  • We care about your health and well-being:
    • Access to a private health insurance at a preferential rate via Alan.
    • SWILE card for your meals.
    • Selectra reimburses 50% of your transport subscription.

About Selectra

Our mission is to make the world cheaper, greener, and simpler thanks to our comparison, subscription, and contract management services. Initially a price comparator for energy, Selectra has expanded its activity to Internet and mobile subscriptions, insurance, and banking. Our future is to position ourselves as the reference solution for consumers wishing to manage all their subscriptions and recurring expenses on a single tool.

With over 1750 employees, 101 million euros in revenue in 2025, and activities in 14 countries, Selectra is among the major European startups. Selected in the past in the French Tech 120 government program, Selectra is regularly ranked among the European companies with the highest growth by the Financial Times or Les Echos.

In its recruitment, Selectra favors humble candidates, passionate about their work and excellent in their field of expertise, creating a truly stimulating work environment. Age and experience do not count as much as learning abilities at Selectra, where young graduates often occupy the highest positions. Selectra has deeply ingrained in its DNA the rejection of the flaws too often encountered in the workplace (useless meetings, bureaucracy, slowness, pigeonholing) and never allows unhealthy work situations to develop. In summary, we create the necessary conditions for a serene work environment where everyone is benevolent and helpful towards their neighbor, which we believe is decisive to attract the best talents and achieve our objectives.

Recruitment Process

  • Step 1: Interview with the HR team.
  • Step 2: Exchange with the CTO / Deputy CTO (30 min).
  • Step 3: Technical interview + architectural case study (based on an anonymized extract from our real context).
  • Step 4: Professional reference check.

Response to your application within a maximum of 2 weeks.

No consideration of gender, age, skin color, sexual orientation, or other discriminatory factors interferes with the selection process at Selectra.
