Tech Lead Full Stack Engineer (.NET / Angular)

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead Full Stack Engineer to join Jyad and help shape the technology function of a high-potential fintech startup based in Riyadh. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can combine strong full-stack engineering expertise with architecture ownership, team leadership, and product-minded decision-making.

You will work closely with the acting CTO / board member and product stakeholders to design, build, and scale secure, reliable, and fintech-grade systems across backend, frontend, and infrastructure. The role also involves helping hire and mentor the future engineering team, define engineering standards, and support the company’s growth from an early stage.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack development across backend, frontend, and DevOps areas
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems using.NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core
• Build and optimize database architecture, data models, and queries using PostgreSQL
• Lead frontend development using Angular and modern JavaScript / TypeScript practices
• Own technical architecture decisions and ensure systems are secure, scalable, and reliable
• Define and maintain engineering best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, security, and documentation
• Support cloud infrastructure and deployments using AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with product, investment, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver business-critical fintech solutions
• Ensure systems meet fintech-grade requirements around security, scalability, high availability, and regulatory alignment
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and help build a high-performance engineering culture
• Play an active role in hiring, vendor selection, and scaling the engineering function
• Explore practical AI/ML-driven applications for the platform, such as fraud detection, risk analysis, credit scoring, or RAG-based workflows

Requirements

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 4-6+ years of experience in software engineering
• At least 2+ years of experience in a leadership, tech lead, or engineering management role
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core
• Solid full-stack background with strong frontend experience in Angular
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design
• Experience designing architecture and delivering secure, scalable, production-grade systems
• Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to lead technical decisions, mentor engineers, and set engineering standards
• Strong understanding of security, reliability, compliance, and performance best practices
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to align technology decisions with business strategy
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Startup mindset and readiness to work in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in fintech, banking, financial systems, capital markets, or high-availability platforms
• Awareness of fintech compliance topics such as KYC, AML, PCI, GDPR, or similar
• Experience with React or Vue in addition to Angular
• Experience with AI/ML-driven product features, RAG, fraud detection, risk analysis, or credit scoring
• Relevant certifications in cloud, security, or agile leadership
• Experience building engineering teams, processes, and technical culture from scratch
