Tech Lead (JavaScript) – Hybrid (Braga)

We are currently strengthening the team of one of our clients with the following profile:

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with 6+ years of professional experience in JavaScript development, demonstrating deep technical expertise and mentoring capabilities.
• Apply 3+ years of proven experience as a Tech Lead, guiding engineering teams through architectural decisions and delivery execution.
• Architect and maintain scalable backend services using serverless technologies, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Node.js, leveraging both JavaScript and TypeScript to support maintainability and team collaboration.
• Design and evolve RESTful APIs and microservices, aligning with best practices for modularity and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, design, and deliver impactful features that meet business goals.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and continuous improvement of development standards.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements in scalability and reliability.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.

Requirements

• Hard skills:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in JavaScript development.
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Tech Lead.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience in designing and evolving RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to code quality through testing and peer reviews.
  • Ability to monitor and optimize application performance.

• Nice to Have:

  • Experience with frontend frameworks like React or Next.js.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
  • Cloud experience (GCP/AWS).
