About the Position
We are Everstar, an agency dedicated to helping private defense companies find talented individuals and bring victory closer for Ukraine. One of our clients specializes in producing equipment and radio-electronic devices that enhance the effectiveness of combat operations.
Our company is constantly growing, developing, and improving its workflows. Currently, our IT Systems Administration department is expanding, and we are looking for Tech Support Engineers (L2).
Responsibilities
- Handling escalated incidents and resolving complex technical issues related to software, workstations, network, and internal IT systems of the company.
- Conducting diagnostics, repairs at the component replacement level, and upgrading PCs and laptops.
- Configuring and supporting peripheral equipment: network printers, printers, barcode scanners, label printers, mobile devices, and other office equipment.
- Installing, configuring, and supporting basic and specialized software.
- Preparing new workstations (Onboarding): automated deployment of operating systems over the network, installation of necessary software according to the user's role.
- Accounting, receiving, issuing, and moving IT equipment, maintaining inventory records, and drawing up acceptance and transfer acts.
- Collecting technical information, logs, and diagnostic results for further escalation of incidents to adjacent teams.
Requirements
- Skills in diagnosing failures:
- Network-level diagnostics: Ability to determine on whose side the failure is (PC - Switch - Router), proficiency in network utilities for diagnostics. Physical level diagnostics. Understanding of basic network technologies and concepts (protocols, web services, routing, dchp, dns, vpn, etc.).
- Installation and support of various OS - Win10/11, macOS, Linux. Diagnosing and fixing problems and failures, data recovery. Proficiency in commands and utilities for diagnosing and fixing OS issues.
- Software installation and troubleshooting. Understanding of different approaches to software licensing, client-server architecture, principles of cloud and SaaS products.
- Hardware diagnostics: Detection of HDD/SSD defects, RAM, hardware conflicts, testing and replacement of components in various IT equipment (PCs, MFPs, network, etc.).
- Diagnostics for escalation: Collecting substantiated evidence of failure before transferring the ticket to adjacent teams: log extraction, tracing, error logging, and detailed description.
Technical Requirements and Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 Pro administration (working with the registry, services, group policies, access rights), macOS, Linux.
- Experience with user data migration and backup tools.
- Understanding of domain network principles: Active Directory at the client level (understanding what a domain is, checking GPO application, groups, OUs).
- Confident understanding of the principles of computer network operation and construction. Understanding of protocols, network classes, services, and more.
- Knowledge of client-server architecture principles and database connectivity.
- Skills in configuring Android/iOS mobile devices in a corporate environment (MDM profiles, mail agents).
- Understanding and experience with data recovery tools.
- Experience with ServiceDesk systems.
- Understanding of ITIL principles, incident lifecycle, equipment lifecycle.
- Understanding of basic information security principles. Experience in configuring and setting up firewalls, access groups, antivirus systems, data encryption systems, access control systems, and others.
