About the Position

Technical Data Architect - Azure

We are currently recruiting for a well-known MS Partner, who are looking for a technical Data Architect looking for a new challenge. The Senior Architect will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and managing innovative business intelligence (BI) solutions with a strong emphasis on leveraging Microsoft Fabric. This role requires a deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data modelling, and the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into technical specifications, create effective BI solutions, and drive the utilisation of information management systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage innovative BI solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Create effective BI solutions.
• Drive the utilisation of information management systems.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in CompSci, IT, or a relevant field.
• Proven architecture experience on live projects.
• Strong data warehousing skills.
• Proficiency in BI tools - Power BI and the components of Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with SQL and database management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills - must be able to translate technical solutions to non-technical/non-BI/data-based stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP)
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

We Offer

• Up to ZAR 125,000 ZAR per year.
• 2 days onsite in Joburg.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Must be well-versed in Azure.
• Fabric experience is very much beneficial.
• Consulting background is highly regarded.
• Must have the Right to Work (RTW) for SA without sponsorship.
