About the Position
As the Technical Development Lead, you are responsible for designing, developing, and operationalizing scalable D&A solutions using defined D&A platforms, including Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Fabric, Snowflake, Matillion, and Databricks. This role will be responsible for overseeing all D&A development activities within the scope of the Customer Excellence organization, directly developing critical complex D&A deliverables, and mentoring/upskilling broader D&A resources within Customer Excellence Business Intelligence (CEBI). You will ensure all D&A projects within CEBI are delivered on time and within scope to deliver the defined business value and accelerate our digital enablement.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical development activities for critical CEBI activities to deliver defined business value on schedule.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior developers within CEBI where appropriate.
- Build and optimize data models, ensuring performance, reusability, and data accuracy.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines leveraging defined enterprise data platforms (Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Matillion).
- Identify AI enabled ways of working to optimize deliverable quality, developer performance, and throughput.
- Be the central point of contact for ongoing technical developments to ensure all project activities remain on track, with clear agendas, defined action items, and deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to analytics governance, security, and development standards.
- Create development standards and frameworks that can be scalable across tools.
- Maintain and document technical specifications, data flows, and solution architectures.
- Measure and report on platform adoption, identifying areas of improvement, and defining improvement paths in conjunction with the Sr. Mgr. Data & Insights.
- Facilitate technical trainings to GCG organization where needed for new development releases and updates.
- Support the operation and continuous improvement of digital tools, systems, and processes used by the team and our customers.
- Coordinate with other Excellence organizations with HARMAN to share best development practices.
- Partner closely with colleagues across Sales Excellence, Sales, Customer Strategy, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment and successful delivery of goals.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of overall experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data engineering roles
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise analytics solutions and data models within Qlik Sense or other enterprise level analytic/data platforms
- 2+ years SQL and Python experience
- Proven experience delivering large-scale analytic applications in a production environment
- Prior experience mentoring junior developers and acting as a technical lead on analytics initiatives
- Experience with sales, commercial operations, or related data
- Proficiency with core productivity tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at multiple levels across a global organization.
- A professional, proactive, and structured working style with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- An understanding of or interest in the automotive industry (helpful but not essential).
Nice to Have
- Multilingual (especially German, Japanese, or Chinese).
- Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Power BI experience
- Have experience working in a global or matrixed organization.
- Possess knowledge of the automotive industry, OEM interactions, or sales planning environments.
