Technical Engineer (Concrete)

About the Position

We are seeking a Technical Engineer (Concrete) to join our team at SIKA (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD, a wholly owned company of Sika AG in Switzerland. This role involves assisting in product development, providing technical guidance, and ensuring quality in concrete admixture products.

Responsibilities

Product Application & Development

• Assist in product development and production optimization to meet business needs.
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to customers for product application, troubleshooting, and lab tests.
• Prepare samples according to product formulation for laboratory evaluation and customer requests.
• Provide technical advice on concrete admixture products to internal staff.
• Plan and conduct trials or testing in the lab.

Technical Advisor

• Innovate methods to prepare cured samples/sample blocks as technical support to the sales team and admixture business.
• Conduct product training and demos for sales teams, applicators, and end users.
• Handle customer complaints, including site visits and follow-up, and prepare investigation reports.
• Conduct site visits to ensure systems are carried out correctly and meet customer expectations.
• Build positive working relationships with applicator customers and assess competence levels.
• Provide technical advice to sales teams and customers for pre- and post-sales.

Others

• Prepare and maintain records of all in-house and external test data.
• Analyze test results and report findings, recommending improvements where necessary.
• Ensure safe practices are followed at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of lab tools and equipment.
• Communicate with independent laboratories and other external parties for company product-related testing.
• Lead in QC matters for finished products and raw materials.
• Lead COA, Audit, or EHS matters pertaining to the lab.
• Complete ad-hoc tasks given by R&D Manager or Technical Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
