About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Officer to join BEUMER Group Singapore Pte. Ltd., located at the Singapore Changi International Airport. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of airport baggage systems and involves troubleshooting and maintaining high-tech intralogistic systems.
Responsibilities
- Reports to the Shift Engineer on all system-related issues.
- Ensures the system operates normally.
- Monitors the system for faults and any disruptions in the flow of airport baggage.
- Oversees technicians in the discharge of their duties.
- Ensures prompt response to all faults by dispatching technicians immediately.
- Ensures prompt diversion of baggage during breakdowns to maintain uninterrupted flow.
- Provides prompt information to the Shift Engineer on all system-related faults and regular status updates.
- Ensures proper dispatch of personnel for prompt breakdown recovery.
- Ensures that the CM/PM Schedule is completed as scheduled.
- Ensures all equipment/tools are regularly checked, calibrated, and valid for safe use by technicians.
- Provides support to the Shift Engineer during system troubleshooting/updates.
- Assists management in report submission.
- Assists management in data analysis and statistics.
Requirements
- Diploma in an Engineering-related field.
- Knowledge of SCADA is an advantage but not necessary as training will be provided.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in rotating 3 shifts.
- Ability to work overtime whenever required.
- Class 3 driving license is an advantage but not necessary.
- Strong willingness to learn is preferred.
- Applications for airport pass will be screened by the Airport Police Division since the work is performed in a restricted area.
