Technical Support Engineer with French

About the Position

Bitdefender is a cybersecurity leader delivering best-in-class threat prevention, detection, and response solutions worldwide. We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer with French to join our team in Bucharest. This role involves providing technical support for Bitdefender Consumer Products and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Bitdefender Consumer Products via email, phone, chat, and remote sessions.
• Work primarily with Microsoft Windows, as well as macOS, iOS, and Android.
• Manage Helpdesk tickets and workflows, keeping customers informed through timely updates.
• Investigate and resolve requests received through dedicated support channels.
• Share technical product information with other teams.
• Gather complete and relevant information to escalate complex issues to higher support tiers.
• Develop, follow, review, and improve working procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in both English and French, written and spoken.
• Advanced Windows troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of macOS and Android fundamentals.
• Knowledge of network communication protocols would be an advantage.
• Basic Linux knowledge is a plus.
• Previous exposure to antivirus software and malware functionality is a plus.
• A customer-oriented approach.
• Strong communication and information-sharing skills.
• A focus on results and problem-solving.
• Initiative and a proactive attitude.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
