About the Position

Hessen Mobil, the road administration authority in Hesse, is seeking a Technikerin / Techniker (w/m/d) für Straßenunterhaltungsprojekte to join our team in Eschwege or Fulda. As part of the Abteilung Betrieb und Verkehr, you will contribute to ensuring road safety and infrastructure maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in maintenance measures, from planning and preparation to execution on-site
• Coordinate road operations and align necessary measures with internal and external stakeholders
• Address technical issues related to roads, bike paths, and drainage, developing practical solutions with stakeholders
• Assess damages and deficiencies in road infrastructure and determine appropriate repair measures
• Support the organization and management of road and bike path operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation infrastructure

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a state-certified technician in civil engineering (substructure), environmental/landscape, garden and landscape construction, or road and traffic technology, or a comparable qualification
• Basic knowledge of contract and procurement law and interest in the legal framework of road and civil engineering
• Technical interest and willingness to practically engage in various road-related tasks, including road construction, drainage, maintenance, road surface, road operations, and road maintenance
• Enjoyment in developing technical solutions, accompanying projects, and ensuring the quality of construction and maintenance measures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German (comparable to C1 CEFR level)
• Valid driver's license class B
