About the Position
OnTheGoSystems, a fully remote company since 2007, is looking for a Technical Specialist for Paid Advertising to join our international team. Our products are used on over 1.5 million active WordPress websites, helping businesses worldwide create and manage multilingual sites and content.
We are seeking a technically skilled, hands-on specialist in paid advertising who understands how to integrate AI, automation, and data with real advertising workflows.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of paid advertising campaigns
- Experiment with how AI, automation, and better data usage can improve campaign management
- Develop your own solutions and directly influence how we create a more technical and AI-driven approach to paid advertising
Requirements
- Experience in setting up, running, analyzing, and optimizing paid campaigns
- Practical experience with platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, or LinkedIn Ads
- Experience with technical tools to automate, connect, analyze, or improve advertising workflows (e.g., Google Ads Scripts, advertising APIs, Python, Zapier, Make, GA4, BigQuery, Looker Studio, and AI agents)
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns or channels simultaneously
- Examples of using AI or automation to solve advertising problems or reduce manual work
- Analytical mindset, investigating why performance changes rather than just reporting it
- Understanding that automation needs validation and can explain how to check if automated workflows are working correctly
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive things forward without detailed instructions
- Enjoy experimenting with new technology and turning useful ideas into working solutions

Hiring Process
We have a clear and structured hiring process that is fair, transparent, and respectful of your time. Each step helps both you and us understand if a collaboration makes sense.
You will have 2-3 interviews, each lasting 60-90 minutes. You will speak with our recruiters, team leader, and members of the team you are applying to join.
After successful interviews, you may be invited to a 14-day paid trial focused on real tasks, followed by signing a contract as an independent contractor and a 3-month probation period if everything goes well.
Hiring Process Details
- HR Interview
The first step is a conversation with our recruiter.
We discuss your background, experience, and what you are looking for next. We also explain how we work at OnTheGoSystems and what the role entails. You have time to ask questions.
- Technical Interviews
If we proceed, you will be invited to 1-2 technical interviews, each lasting 60-90 minutes.
You will speak with developers and team leaders from the team you may join. The focus is on real experience, problem-solving, and your approach to work.
- 14-Day Trial and Probation Period
After successful technical interviews, we move on to a 14-day paid trial. You will work with your team leader and mentor on real tasks to determine if we are a good fit.
If this goes well, the next step is to sign a contract as an independent contractor and move on to a 3-month probation period. This allows both parties to see how working together feels in a real environment.
