Technology Due Diligence Consultant

About the Position

Join OMMAX, the leading AI-first consultancy and AI-engineering platform, as a Technology Due Diligence Consultant. You will be at the forefront of assessing IT landscapes and AI maturity for private equity and corporate clients.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of international technology, IT, and AI due diligence projects in buy-side and sell-side transactions.
• Assess complex IT landscapes with regard to architecture, infrastructure, scalability, maintainability, cybersecurity, compliance, and operational performance.
• Conduct AI due diligence assessments and evaluate AI maturity, data strategies, technical feasibility, as well as innovation and value creation potential.
• Identify technical risks, tech debt, and optimization opportunities across platforms, data landscapes, and vendor ecosystems and develop corresponding technology roadmaps and post-transaction strategies.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, digital, and financial due diligence teams to enable integrated transaction assessments and value creation initiatives.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to C-level executives, investment committees, and technical stakeholders.
• Lead project teams, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and actively support the development and scaling of the team.
• Contribute to sales and pitching activities, develop new services aligned with emerging technology and AI trends, and represent OMMAX in strategic client interactions.

Requirements

• Outstanding degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related technical field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in technology due diligence, IT consulting, digital strategy, or technology M&A advisory.
• Proven experience working with private equity firms, investors, or companies in transaction-related environments.
• Deep expertise in modern IT architectures, cloud environments, software development processes, and AI technologies.
• Experience assessing IT service providers, technology vendors, and outsourced service models from both technical and commercial perspectives.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and data platform landscapes and understanding requirements around system integration, scalability, and IT operating models.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to translate technical findings into investment-relevant conclusions and strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and confident engagement with C-level executives, investment professionals, and technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with architecture modeling tools, data-flow mapping, or code assessments is a plus.
• Structured, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented manner with a strong passion for technology, AI, and value creation in transaction environments.
• Fluency in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
