Telecom Engineer

About the Position

As a Telecom Engineer at TMC, you play a crucial role in the engineering and realization of telecommunications infrastructure for high-voltage and energy networks. You will work largely in a hybrid setup (office + home), occasionally visiting project sites or suppliers. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself into a specialist in telecom networks.

In this role, you are technically responsible for the telecom aspect within (high-voltage) infrastructure projects. You translate requirements and demands into concrete designs and implementation plans, contribute to ensuring safety, feasibility, and efficiency, and safeguard the quality of all telecom assets.

Responsibilities

• Preparing studies for new construction and expansion projects;
• Creating basic and detailed designs for telecom connectivity;
• Reviewing and validating delivery data;
• Providing complete project documentation;
• Maintaining and improving your own technical knowledge;
• Actively collaborating with project teams to ensure the telecom aspect is technically sound and future-proof.

Requirements

• A vocational (MBO+) or higher professional (HBO) education (or work experience) in electrical engineering, energy technology, telecom, or a similar field;
• At least 5 years of experience in design and preparation within (telecom) projects;
• Knowledge of data communication for telecom networks;
• Extensive experience with AutoCAD (required);
• Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;
• Experience with Elcad or the willingness to learn it;
• A proactive and customer-focused attitude that highly values quality and reliability.
