About the Position
Telecommunications Engineering Specialist
MetaOption, LLC is seeking a Telecommunications Engineering Specialist to join our team in Winchester, VA. This role involves supporting Ribbon Federal Edge deployment, SIP interconnection engineering, and E-911 call routing support associated with Army Voice Modernization.
Responsibilities
- Support deployment and integration of Ribbon Federal Edge gateways.
- Support engineering issue tracking and technical recommendations.
- Support SIP interconnection engineering and policy routing support.
- Analyze and troubleshoot E-911 call flow issues.
- Support deployment validation and readiness assessments.
- Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support connectivity among Federal Edge, VISP, and Army PSAP systems.
- Assist issue resolution affecting gateway deployment and performance.
- Support technical coordination related to E-911 routing requirements.
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years telecommunications engineering experience.
- VoIP / SIP engineering: 5+ years.
- Skills:
- Ribbon Communications / Sonus / Genband
- Session Border Controllers
- SIP signaling and interconnects
- E-911 or PSAP integration
- Active Secret clearance
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- DISA VISP familiarity
- Army VMOD experience
- PSAP interconnection experience
- Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE)
- NG 911 Public Safety Communications background/ familiarity
