About the Position

Join RIEDEL Communications as a Test & Support Expert (m/f/d) – Broadcast Video. Experience the fascination of Riedel Communications in action as you develop, define, and execute release test cases for new hardware, firmware, and software solutions within our MediorNet TDM Video portfolio. Collaborate closely with various teams to ensure product quality, support readiness, and successful market releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, define, and execute release test cases for new hardware, firmware, and software solutions within our MediorNet TDM Video portfolio and document the results in appropriate tools.
• Perform exploratory and user acceptance testing with a clear "test-to-break" mindset, identify weaknesses, and document findings and bugs in Jira to support development teams.
• Collaborate closely with System Testing, R&D, Product Management, and Support teams to ensure product quality, support readiness, and successful market releases.
• Prepare and deliver internal training sessions and knowledge transfer activities for global support, demo, and professional services teams.
• Provide second and third-level technical support for internal and external customers and act as an expert for complex troubleshooting scenarios.
• Serve as a gatekeeper between Support, R&D, and Product Management, ensuring efficient escalation handling and high-quality communication across teams.
• Continuously learn emerging broadcast technologies and gather customer feedback to contribute to future product improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in broadcast, live event production, or television environments with strong knowledge of SDI and IP video technologies, ideally including SMPTE 2110.
• Good understanding of IP networking concepts such as VLANs, IGMP, PTP, and switch configuration, combined with knowledge of video and audio interfaces.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments; knowledge of virtualization, monitoring tools, and cloud video processing is desirable.
• Practical experience in hardware and software testing or a strong motivation to work in quality assurance and product validation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills combined with a structured and quality-focused working style.
• Passion for sharing knowledge, conducting trainings, and collaborating across international and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, willingness to travel occasionally, and good spoken and written English skills.
