About the Position
Test Automation Engineer (m/w/d)
Schmitt Engineering is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automated tests for new web functionalities, enhancing our test architecture, and ensuring the reliability of our CI/CD pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of automated tests for new web functionalities
- Enhancement of test architecture and test automation
- Planning, steering, and execution of tests in accordance with the test pyramid
- Advising the development team on quality assurance and test automation
- Optimization and stabilization of automated tests for a reliable CI/CD pipeline
- Analysis and coordination of defect resolution
- Collaboration with software developers and other agile team members
- Utilization of modern cloud, DevOps, and AI-supported test solutions
Requirements
- Completed studies in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
- Experience in quality assurance within an agile software development environment
- Practical experience in test automation, e.g., with Gherkin, Cucumber, TypeScript, or Playwright
- Knowledge of modern CI/CD and cloud technologies, e.g., Docker, GitLab, or AWS
- Experience in direct collaboration with software development teams
- Good knowledge of modern testing methods and test architectures
- Experience with AI-supported tools for defect analysis and test automation is advantageous
- Very good German and English language skills in speech and writing
We require good German language skills at least at B2 level for this position, as German is our corporate language.
