Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated testing solutions for REST APIs, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements, and develop strategies to automate testing processes.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, scripts, and tools to ensure efficient and effective testing of REST APIs.
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of automated testing solutions into the overall software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically, 8 years of relevant work experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably in API automation testing.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Expert-level certification in REST API testing, such as REST API TESTING 3 – Expert.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C#, and experience with automated testing frameworks and tools, such as RestAssured.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and DevOps, and experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for automated testing.
