About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer (Mainframe) to join our team in Poland, working remotely. The candidate will contribute to test planning, execution, and quality assurance while ensuring reliable and accurate validation of systems and data.
Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution
- Support the development of test strategies and detailed test plans
- Execute test cases and ensure proper documentation of results
- Participate in functional, integration, and system testing activities

Mainframe Testing
- Perform testing across mainframe systems including batch, online, and integration processes
- Validate data accuracy and system behavior across applications
- Assist in coordinating test activities across dependent systems

Automation Support
- Contribute to the development and execution of automation scripts where applicable
- Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency through automation

Defect Management & Reporting
- Log, track, and manage defects through the defect lifecycle
- Participate in defect triage meetings and support issue resolution
- Provide regular updates on test progress, defects, and quality metrics
Requirements

Must have
- Experience in test planning and execution
- Knowledge of mainframe testing (batch and online systems)
- Basic understanding of integration testing
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks (preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience with defect tracking tools and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have
- Experience in data validation or data migration testing
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
