Test Engineer, niveau expert

About the Position

We are seeking an expert Test Engineer with over 10 years of experience to join our team in Brussels, Belgium, specializing in cloud, API, and microservices testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize a testing approach for our eDossier solution.
• Conduct functional testing: validating business logic in microservices and APIs, testing data integrity, and E2E testing of user flows.
• Perform API testing: validating API contracts (OpenAPI) and testing functionality, performance, security, and compatibility between microservices and external systems.
• Conduct integration testing: testing the interaction between microservices and COTS components, as well as with external APIs and adapters.
• Perform security testing within a context of authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Conduct performance and scalability testing of microservices and APIs, and the overall solution.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites in CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid feedback within DevOps processes.
• Co-establish monitoring and logging of our solution within our environments (dev, test, acc).

About the Company

The Commissariat Général aux Réfugiés et aux Apatrides is an independent federal administration. Our mission is to offer protection to individuals who risk persecution or serious harm if they return to their country of origin. In accordance with Belgian, European, and international standards, the CGRA examines each request for international protection in an individual, objective, and impartial manner.

We have launched a modernization project within the CGRA, translated into the eDossier program. It is a highly ambitious program, consisting of several projects, with a very tight schedule. To further shape and develop the program, we are looking for strong profiles who wish to engage temporarily (fixed-term contracts, immediately terminable, renewable upon positive evaluation) until delivery, scheduled for at least the end of 2028.
