About the Position
We are seeking a Test Engineer for our Tieto Tech Consulting team to join our 5G technology development in Wroclaw, Poland. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing test operation plans, conducting manual end-to-end testing, and ensuring the quality of newly developed functionalities in 5G technology.
Responsibilities
- Creation of test strategies based on given requirements
- Preparation and configuration of test setups
- Execution of test procedures in end-to-end environment
- Debugging and technical problem solving
- Analysis and evaluation of test results
- Reporting software issues
Requirements
- General knowledge about architecture and features in 5G networks (e.g., carrier aggregation, handover, DSS, ENDC)
- Understanding of testing importance during software development process
- Basic understanding of IP networks
- User experience with Linux OS
- Good analytical thinking
- Good English, both written and spoken
Nice to Have
- Practical knowledge about RF equipment (e.g., tunable attenuators, signal analyzer)
- Experience with telecommunications end-to-end testing with usage of real UE’s or simulators
- Practical knowledge about building environments for 5G end-to-end testing
- Working experience with Viavi TM500, QXDM, Wireshark
- Knowledge and practice of software testing concepts (ISTQB certificate will be an advantage)
- Troubleshooting skills of the test environment issues
- Experience in scripting languages
