About the Position
BASEIN bureau is looking for a TikTok сценарист to develop the script part for video content for brands. The role focuses on the mechanics of TikTok and Reels.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative scripts for TikTok videos according to client briefs and internal agency ideas.
- Participate in team creative brainstorming sessions: generate ideas and formats/plots for specific brands and platforms.
- Prepare script packages: text, scene descriptions, presentation logic, recommendations for actors/style/props.
- Be present on set to control script implementation and make quick adaptations without losing the concept.
- Work with the camera operator, project manager, and producer to ensure the result meets the creative concept.
- Make script revisions based on team/client feedback.
- Provide recommendations and edits for editing (when needed): pace, rhythm, cuts, accents.
- Monitor TikTok trends and propose new formats/approaches for agency clients.
Requirements
- Experience in a creative position in an agency or production (agency experience is preferred, but strong work is considered).
- Understanding of how short formats work on social media (TikTok/IG Reels) and why one format "goes viral" while another doesn't.
- Visual thinking: write so that the operator/director "sees the picture" without unnecessary explanations.
- Ability to adapt the idea during filming without destroying the creative concept.
- Understanding of editing logic: think in terms of pace, rhythm, cuts during the writing stage.
- Ability to transform a marketing brief into a creative form for a business task.
- Ability to distinguish between a short-lived trend and a format with potential.
- Portfolio with examples of scripts/videos (required).
Nice to Have
- Experience working with film crews and on set.
- Experience with brand campaigns/full-cycle production.
- Ability to build "scalable" formats that can be shot in series.
Work Format
- Location: ideally Kyiv, but the format is flexible-no need to be in the office constantly; presence in the city is desirable due to filming.
- Schedule/details: to be discussed with the team lead during the interview.
- Probation period: 2–3 months* (may end earlier with mutual positive feedback).
