About the Position

Samedaylogistics Romania is seeking a Time-Critical Airfreight Forwarding Agent for our office at Otopeni airport. The ideal candidate will support and coordinate airfreight trade services, products, and operations. The role requires at least 2 years of airfreight forwarding experience and a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Maintaining ongoing relationships with customers, partners, and service providers.
Maximizing business opportunities by offering tailor-made solutions within budgetary and operational restrictions.
Providing support and resolving problems for customers, opening supply requests.
Preparing monthly reports and providing in-bound telephone customer support.
Distributing mails, preparing reports, processing forms, and other specific documents.
Communicating effectively to solve intermediate-level problems and assisting with basic research.
Screening, preparing, and moving customer’s packages for customs clearance when required.
Supervising and coordinating warehouse/ramp operational activities.
Supervising the daily activities of the import/export operations.
Developing a systematic plan to achieve and maintain account records.
Complying with airport authority security/safety requirements.
Performing all other duties assigned or delegated by managers.
Being able to work on nights or weekends when necessary.
Preparing time-critical quotations for incoming requests.
Allocating couriers to pending orders for worldwide requests and booking their travel arrangements.
Giving clear detailed instructions and information to couriers on their assignments and modifying assignments as necessary.
Monitoring and tracking ongoing shipments to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with external suppliers and service providers, delivering appropriate training if necessary.
Debtor and Creditor Invoicing and order settlement.
Being able to travel when required, in line with business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of customer service experience or general administrative experience in the transportation industry.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Accurate typing and data entry skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum knowledge of transportation processes for domestic/international shipping and documentation.
