About the Team
Join ZF's Global Commodity Purchasing Team and gain valuable experience in an international environment. The Fasteners & Formings Commodity Team manages a global supplier network for components that support vehicle production across multiple product lines. As part of a global purchasing organization, the team collaborates closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Cost Engineering, and Project Management functions across regions to support sourcing and supply chain activities.
As a Trainee in Global Commodity Purchasing, you will become part of this international team, working with colleagues across different functions and locations while gaining hands-on insight into global sourcing processes, supplier management, and business decision-making within a leading technology company.
Responsibilities
- Support sourcing and supplier management activities within the Fasteners & Formings commodity area
- Assist in analyzing supplier, market, and cost development trends
- Contribute to cross-functional projects involving Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and other business functions
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, and purchasing-related analyses
- Assist with supplier meetings, business reviews, and sourcing initiatives
- Coordinate and track purchasing-related documentation and agreements
- Support data-driven decision-making through information gathering and analysis
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A structured and organized approach to work
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Practical experience with MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Good English language skills (minimum B2 level), nice to know other languages (German, Spanish, or other)
- Availability to work full-time
