Training and e-Learning Specialist

About the Position

At IPS Innovative Prison Systems and ICJS Innovative Criminal Justice Solutions Inc., we are looking for a Training and e-Learning Specialist to enhance the competencies of individuals (our employees and professionals in the corrections’ sector) by designing and conducting training and e-learning courses.

You will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing, and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs (knowledge, skills, competencies) using different state-of-the-art methods;
• Translate requirements into training;
• Build training programs and prepare learning plans;
• Develop or oversee the production of learning and e-learning materials (handouts, instructional materials, aids, and manuals);
• Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results;
• Manage and deliver training courses;
• Manage and deliver e-learning content and courses through our online academy (see Corrections Learning Academy);
• Assess training and learning effectiveness;
• Periodically evaluate ongoing programs;
• Stay abreast of the new trends and learning tools.

Requirements

• BSc, MA, or MSc degree in Social Sciences, Education, Training, HR, or a related field;
• Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting;
• Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles;
• Proven ability to master the full training cycle;
• Adequate knowledge of learning management software;
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques;
• Ability to conduct a cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI;
• Sound decision-making and organizational skills;
• Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences;
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools;
• Sound planning and problem-solving skills;
• Autonomy and organization;
• Proactivity;
• Flexibility and a high sense of responsibility;
• Good teamwork skills;
• Good knowledge of English.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Lisbon or Covilhã, Portugal
