Treasury Accounting Consultant

About the Position

We are seeking a Treasury Accounting Consultant with 8-10 years of IT experience for a leading bank in UAE. The role involves configuring accounting rules and documenting accounting treatments.

Responsibilities

• Engage users to gather, capture, and document accounting treatment for various financial products.
• Analyze requirements and assess feasibility of implementation in treasury systems.
• Design and configure accounting rules based on the requirements, including configuration of accounts, filters, and formulas.
• Perform testing, capture output, and document results.
• Reconcile expected results and actual results.
• Identify discrepancies and the possible causes.
• Participate in various changes and projects for the stream.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of total IT working experience, including 4-6 years of relevant experience with any treasury accounting systems.
• Understand the concept of journal posting and balances for accounting.
• Knowledge of trade life cycle & events and how they are handled for FX, Money Market, Fixed Income, Equities, FXD, IRD products.
• Finance functional knowledge: at least one asset class knowledge is mandatory (Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX Cash, FX Derivatives, Commodities, Structured Derivatives).
• Experience in setting up accounting rules, accounts, filters, and formulas.
• Familiar with accounting configuration setup and EOD.
• Experience in accounting configuration in any treasury systems.
• Any treasury systems configuration experience and configured accounting rule in any treasury systems.
