About the Position
Trusted Devices: Zertifikatsmanagement für Embedded-Systeme (m/w/d)
M&M Software GmbH is seeking a Bachelorand for a thesis on Certificate Management for Embedded Systems, focusing on secure communication in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Investigate requirements and existing solutions for Certificate Management on Embedded Devices
- Analyze the capabilities of OPC UA for integrating and managing application certificates
- Evaluate different approaches in terms of security, maintainability, and integration effort
- Develop a prototypical Proof of Concept in C/C++ on an embedded platform
- Combine scientific work with a concrete application in the industrial IT/OT environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Informatik, Technische Informatik, Embedded Systems, Cyber Security or a comparable field
- Interest in Embedded Systems and IT/OT Security
- Knowledge or initial experience with C and/or C++
- Interest in OPC UA and secure communication concepts
- Enjoyment in analyzing complex technical questions and practically testing own solution approaches

- Familiarity with OPC UA and secure communication concepts
