Unix System Administrator (Linux)

About the Position

We are seeking a Unix System Administrator (Linux) to maintain and develop a high-load infrastructure, ensure service stability, automate routine processes, and improve the iMonetizeit platform architecture.

Responsibilities

• Administration and support of Linux infrastructure in the production environment;
• Ensuring the continuous operation of critical services and prompt incident resolution;
• Support and administration of AWS cloud infrastructure;
• Automation of operational tasks using Bash and other tools;
• Administration of the web stack (Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM);
• Monitoring infrastructure, performance analysis, and bottleneck resolution;
• Planning and implementing measures to enhance fault tolerance, performance, and resource optimization;
• Participation in on-call rotations to respond to emergency situations.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL or similar distributions), system services, network stack, and Bash;
• Practical experience in infrastructure administration and basic knowledge of AWS services;
• Experience in administering MySQL, including performance optimization, replication setup, backup, and recovery;
• Practical experience with Apache (mod_php), Nginx, and PHP-FPM;
• Experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix or similar);
• Practical experience with Docker and understanding of containerization principles;
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH) and Linux security principles.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS Elastic Beanstalk;
• Experience in administering Redis and Memcached;
• Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar tools).
