About the Position

We are searching for passionate Unreal Engine / C++ Engineers to join the core team behind our virtual production studios! Rather than working on individual games, you'll build and maintain the shared C++ foundations, plugins, and components used across all our projects, and drive the research and development that improves our services as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain shared C++ plugins, components, and actors used across all our games;
• Work with other teams to improve server setups and the communication between our applications and backend services;
• Collaborate with game artists to support their work and improve shared tooling and workflows;
• Drive R&D efforts to improve our services and technology overall;
• Maintain and support existing projects.

Requirements

• Passion for software development – we expect you to like to write and maintain code;
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ and Object-Oriented Programming;
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5, with a strong emphasis on C++ over Blueprints;
• Experience with Git;
• Be ready to invest the effort to become an even better developer;
• Experience building reusable, maintainable code intended for use across multiple projects.

Nice to Have

• Unit testing and automated testing experience with Unreal Engine;
• Experience with communication protocols (HTTP / Web Sockets);
• Excellent math skills including geometric modeling & linear algebra;
• Experience designing plugins or shared libraries for a team or organization;
• Experience with the visual side of real-time 3D, such as materials, animations, lighting, and visual optimizations.
