User Experience Design Specialist (Multiple Positions Available)

Ariba, Inc. seeks a User Experience Design Specialist (multiple positions available) at our Bellevue, WA location to create, evaluate, and modify prototypes to support evolving software application development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations.
• Understand business requirements and any technical limitations.
• Responsible for conceiving and conducting interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Design the overall functionality of the product, and ensure great user experience, in accordance with user testing.
• Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Facilitate the client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experience for digital products.
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
• Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
• Communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
• Collaborate and communicate closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Science, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Science, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• Experience:
  • Utilizing, customizing, and building analytical user dashboards using business intelligence software including Microsoft Power BI.
  • Software development kits including UI5 for front-end or back-end technologies.
  • Creating reusable Figma components for use across enterprise UX teams.
  • Leading end-to-end projects from requirements to delivery, including aligning cross-functional teams and driving design decisions.
  • Building interactive prototypes in Figma to support leadership presentation, storytelling, stakeholder alignment, and usability testing.
  • Designing enterprise widgets, complex procurement flows, and taxonomy management tools.
  • Building and enhancing admin or power user interfaces.
  • Designing interfaces to visualize and evaluate machine learning outputs.
  • Defining cross-product UX patterns and establishing guidelines for AI/ML features and workflows.

We Offer

• Compensation: The annual base salary range for this position is $152,786 - $178,650. The targeted combined range for this position is $152,786 - $198,500.
