UX Design Lead

About the Position

East Europe Foundation, as part of the USAID/UK Dev Project Support for Digital Transformation, announces a competition for the position of UX Design Lead for joint projects with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

Start date: May 2024.

The term of engagement is until the end of 2024 with a possible extension.

Employment: full-time.

Work format: mixed (online and offline).

Responsibilities

• Strategic design: Develop UX strategies that meet the company’s business strategy and user needs.
• Team management: Form and develop a team of UX designers, manage its work, distribute tasks among members, and train them.
• Participation in strategic meetings: Represent the UX department at meetings with stakeholders, participate in decision-making on strategies and development.
• Research and analysis: Research user experience to identify user needs and ways to develop the product.
• Design and testing: Develop concepts and defend their relevance to management, test the user experience, and ensure that the product meets user requirements.
• Ensure collaboration with other functional teams: Collaborate with other departments (development, testing, business analysis, and communication) to ensure that the UX strategy is followed throughout the product lifecycle.
• Process optimization: Continuously improve work methods, development processes, and communication within the UX department.
• Quality control: Monitor UX quality and implement best practices at all stages.
• Stakeholder communication: Communicate with initiative leaders to gather information about requirements, provide feedback, and present results.
• Design system management: Track and manage changes to the design system to address the need for new features, bug fixes, and design updates in line with changes in brand or product strategy.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a UX/UI designer (about 1 year of experience with mobile applications).
• Knowledge of interaction through the interface (GUI/UX), coloring, composition, usability; principles of design for mobile platforms, including iOS.
• Knowledge of UX design methodologies, such as UX design process, user research, user personas, user journey mapping, and work experience with them.
• Ability to analyze data and perform spot testing to improve user experience.
• Experience in team management.
