Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a Specialist UX Designer to enhance user experience for customers in the heavy infrastructure industry. You will work on an ecosystem targeting customers owning and operating sites within the heavy infrastructure industry segments. The responsibilities include driving the development of digital solutions by ensuring valuable, desirable, and intuitive functionality and experience for the customers and end users.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with service owners, product owners, and the development team to understand business requirements, strategic offers, and any technical limitations.
  • Be responsible for the entire design process, from conducting user research and analysis to ideation, design, prototyping, and implementation.
  • Design, develop, and (rapid) prototyping concepts to create customer value and enhance the user experience.
  • Participate in innovation and ideation, as well as the daily work of improving and securing UX/UI consistency in relation to the ecosystem and design system.

Requirements

Desired Experience

  • Interest in handling complexity and turning data into value-adding services.
  • Ability to understand and develop complex ideas and concepts and quickly create UX prototypes to validate with stakeholders and customers.
  • Experience working closely with the design and development of digital experiences in a corporate environment.
  • Experience planning and conducting UX research activities and transforming insights into business opportunities.

Tools and Required Level of Expertise

  • Proficient in Figma design tool and the ability to create high-fidelity mockups and wireframes for desktop and mobile interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of UX design principles and demonstrated experience in designing for web and mobile platforms.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience analysis, strategic systems thinking, and hands-on service creation, research, and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with design systems and the ability to create and maintain a style guide to ensure consistency across designs.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with service designers, developers, etc.
  • Familiarity with design accessibility principles and the ability to design interfaces that are inclusive and accessible to all users.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain and motivate design decisions to stakeholders and clients.
