Known for franchises like Call of Juarez and Dying Light, Techland focuses on open-world action, storytelling, and community engagement. The UX/UI team is responsible for presenting players with intuitive information through HUDs, menus, and graphical elements.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Game Design, Art, UI Programming, and Production teams to shape the UX and interfaces of games, acting as a bridge between aesthetics and functionality.
- Define player experiences through user stories and flows, then visualize them with wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using Figma.
- Refine designs based on stakeholder feedback, team critique, and playtest results.
- Prepare final-quality assets and implement them directly in-engine using proprietary GUI Editor tools.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience designing UI for video games.
- Portfolio demonstrating game interfaces created for consoles and/or PC, showcasing both UX logic and UI art skills.
- High proficiency in Figma or similar software for wireframing, UI design, and prototyping.
- Comfort and willingness to learn proprietary software to integrate UI assets directly into the game engine.
- Very good understanding of interaction design and strong familiarity with User-Centered Design (UCD) principles.
- Proven ability to present complex concepts in easy-to-digest ways and strategically draw players’ eyes to critical information.
- Solid understanding of the game industry, video games, and current interface trends.
- Fluent communication in English, both verbal and written (minimum level B2).
