About the Position
Intelvision, a Swiss boutique IT consultancy specializing in digitalization, custom business software, and automation solutions, is looking for a VBA / Python Developer (Automation & Legacy Modernization) to join our team. This role is remote and open to candidates within Europe.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Excel/VBA-based tools and business applications
- Improve and optimize existing macros and automate manual workflows
- Use Python for automation, data processing, and integrations
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and improve legacy systems (Excel/Access-based)
- Communicate solutions and progress with stakeholders
- Collaborate with team members in a distributed environment
- Use modern tools (Copilot, Claude, Visual Studio) to improve productivity
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience (4+ years) with VBA and Excel automation
- Solid understanding of Python for scripting and automation
- Experience working with legacy systems and improving existing solutions
- Confident use of Visual Studio
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (Copilot, Claude)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain technical solutions clearly
- Strong English communication skills
Nice to Have
- German language
- Experience with complex business domains (finance, pharma, etc.)
