About the Role
Cloover is growing across multiple business models simultaneously: embedded consumer financing, value-adding services, and new markets. There is a lot of work between the idea and implementation that no one has claimed yet. As a Venture Development Manager, you will fill this gap and bring initiatives from strategy to measurable results.
You will report to our Head of Venture Development and work in a team of 4. You will work closely with the founding team and the Venture Development Team.
Responsibilities
- Identify manual, recurring work across tools and teams and improve or automate it, freeing up time for value-creating tasks.
- Expand our embedded consumer financing model, from coordinating with partners and lenders to improvements in product and checkout, to rollout in further markets, aiming for higher conversion rates and growing financing volumes.
- Scale our value-adding services through a better product setup, targeted activation campaigns, clear documentation, and performance tracking that shows what really works.
- Prepare for entry into new markets: regulation and funding landscape, financing structures, business case, and go-to-market, enabling the founding team to make informed decisions.
- Plan and manage targeted outreach initiatives to installation companies, partners, and prospects, from list creation to follow-up, building a measurable pipeline.
- Organize partner and industry events from start to finish, such as trade shows or leadership dinners, and turn contacts into concrete follow-up discussions.
- Identify opportunities that do not yet exist at Cloover and develop them from idea to result that reaches the business.
Requirements
- You have already brought projects from idea to implementation independently, such as in a startup, consulting, venture building, or business development, and can show concretely what has changed as a result.
- You quickly structure unclear issues like a new market or a business case, switch effortlessly between strategy and operational implementation, and provide clear decision-making bases.
- You naturally use AI to work faster, critically check the results, and stand for content and details.
- You are based in Berlin and bring energy to the office routine. We are deliberately office-first: decisions are made in real-time, prototypes are tested during lunch, and the founding team is ten meters away. If you work best this way, you will feel right at home here.
Nice to have (but not mandatory):
- Experience with consumer financing, embedded finance, or fintech products
- Knowledge of the solar or heat pump industry or an existing network among installation companies
